Film Analysis : The Book of Clarence This film presented a dramaturgical and sparsely comedic version of the Biblical Era . It was set during the Evolutionary emergence of Christianity in 33 A.D. The en masse disbelievers engaged in fierce Messianic competition with exploitable profits. The protagonist ( Lakeith Stanfield ) attempted to seek public appeal and adulation via his emulation of the real Messiah . He felt that the Messiah had special necromancy and magic power . He was envious of his twin brother who was 1 of Jesus' 12 Apostles and felt betrayed when denied fellowship/ membership. Given the Moral crisis of the time , such as hallucinogenic experimentation , scantily dressed dancers, and abject poverty , the protagonist finally achieved faith and beliefs in God via The Messiah. His divine Existential resurrection came after his crucifixion for false prophecy . The film has a unique alignment with the Book of Revelation , verses 14 and 15 . The Messiah , Jesus , had the hair of wool and the pigment of burnished brass . As God chosen, son , he was a man of African extraction. It must be remembered that Human Evolution began in Continental Africa, East Africa as substantiated by both the fossilized evidence and meticulous archaelogical research. The original Hebrew of that time Era was mostly of African physiognomy . All of the casts were superb in their performance. The pulchritude of Blackness radiated throughout the film . I love it . Rewatch the film at home with both headphones and closed caption for the Deaf . I need to hear the spoken words . The theatrical film only gave me the appreciation of dactology and lip reading .
