Great ideal with some cost to safety

Love the extension, but they are sold. in a set of two and when the passenger side is not in use it rattles like a can of beans. They also by pass the safety chimes on in-buckled passengers. I also can't find any National Highway DOT rating on this item. Wonder if you have a real wreck will they pass the test for safety?
