My frenchie ended up with Ivdd %26 is paralized in her back legs. This car seat is big enough for her to lay down. It's tall enough if I leave the base flat. I don't have to worry she'll fall out. The inside fabric is so soft and I love that this is able to go in the front seat ! Seatbelt safety . He was in this for a 3 hour drive and he was sleeping most of the ride .
