I liked the assembly. it was pretty straightforward, and the latches were already attached to one board, so this made assembly easier and faster. The wood doesn't seem really durable, and i believe a coat of outdoor paint would prolong the life of the hutch. I was pleased with my purchase and the fact this was on sale.

I am grateful the assembly was marked with numbers. I also added some foam boards inside to keep them warm in the winter because that was the whole purpose of buying this product. It is small, maybe for my hen and 2 babies. My rooster won't fit in. He is too big for this chicken coop. The door is the same as stairs or ladder. As for the nesting box, I was confused, remember two woods are for the side and the third one is for the bottom. The nesting box does not have a marked holes on it. Just lift up the nesting box and hold it to screw it up. The top cover was tight because the two side roof covers were not even. I still force that down and screw it. and it worked out. I enjoyed the assembly as my animals see me working in the project. The color is beautiful but the smell went away within two hours. I also messed up using a heavy hammer. I almost cracked one piece. Don't use heavy hammers, unless is the rubber hammer. I used the foam glue gun to glue the foam boards.
