I had purchased a mattress that claimed to be a medium firm but it felt like sleeping on cement. I was waking up with the worst back pain I've ever had. This topper got a lot of good reviews and also I wanted a bamboo cover as I know this wicks away heat from what I read and so far, no problems with it getting hot.. This is the best mattress topper I have ever purchased and I have purchased a lot of them! It came vacuum sealed and it puffed out once I opened it just like the foam mattresses that come vacuum sealed. The top is stitched so that its even, but best of all and what really surprised me was how supportive it is yet cushy if that makes sense. This pad isn't some cheap cotton type that flattens out after a few nights; it has this like memory foam so that it doesn't flatten out. It keeps it's shape and is supportive yet so comfortable. This is the best purchase I have made in a long time. Best of all? The price. You cannot go wrong with this pad. Wonderful
