This tent pops up the minute you take it out of the bag. As far as the tent itself is concerned, it does not need to be put together. It comes with four small tent stakes. I added two longer stakes as we expected windy weather, and put a weight in each inside corner. The wind was gusting 20 and it did well and did not fall or collapse. It was roomy for just myself. I am not sure how comfortable 3-4 people would be unless some were kids. Two adults would fit just fine. The only call out I have is that the door does not secure to the bottom of the tent when you zip it down. Although the material is waterproof, it could leak under the door if it rains.
