I got 2 of these for holiday light display, so far fall/Halloween. looks really pretty and sturdy. we have had some rain and high winds and they have held up without additional support. the base is weighted metal and the stem/globes are plastic. we will see how it holds up in winter/snow. looking forward to Christmas lights. it was pretty easy to set up. I only wish it came in black base/stem
