Fluorescent bulb replacement?! Didn't work for me.

Decided to get LEDs this time to replace the fluorescent bulbs in kitchen since the last 4 burnt out in less than 6 mts. The packages say that they replace F32 T8 fluorescent bulbs, but after swapping out the old ones with these, I'm still in the dark. They will not turn on at all. I guess it's possible that my ballasts are the magnetic ones, not electric, but I had no idea there were 2 diff types of ballasts. The packaging should clearly state that the bulbs do not work with magnetic ballasts (if that's the case) because I imagine plenty of people are fooled by the wording "replaces F32 T8 48" fluorescent bulbs" and "32W T8 Replacement" that's written really huge on the front of the box!
