Protect your lawn from fire ants with Ortho® Fire Ant Killer Broadcast Granules. It kills fire ant mounds in 15 minutes and keeps new mounds from forming to protect your lawn for up to 6 months. Treat the entire lawn area uniformly in order to protect your lawn from fire ants that may come in from neighboring areas. Apply in spring and late summer with a Scotts® spreader for control. Applications should be made during the morning or late evening, when it is cool and the fire ants are most active. Once the granules have been applied, water them in to activate. Each 11.5 lb. package covers 5,000 sq. ft. of residential lawn space.
