Orijen Tundra Grain-Free All Stages Freeze Dried Dog Food, 16 oz

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My dog Rudy is an active older gentleman (12 years) but has a picky palate. Introducing new foods is usually unsuccessful - he likes what he likes. He's 75 pounds so I only used the food as a meal topper, for his size he'd need a good portion of the sample bag just to make a meal. I didn't soak the food, I just used it in dry form, crumbled up on top of his food. Surprisingly, he gobbled it right down without hesitation, which is high praise where he's concerned. The ingredients are excellent and fall in line with my feeding standards. He can still go for 20km runs with me at 12 years old so I believe in a good feeding program with whole ingredients. I think for a smaller dog this would be a great regular feeding option - it might be a bit difficult for a larger dog due to the portion sizes needed though admittedly I haven't gone and looked at what size the large bags come in. It also seems like it would be great for travelling - especially camping or backpacking. The food is extremely light but nutritionally dense, so if you were going backpacking with your dog, they could easily carry their own food without too much weight on their backs. All in all, I really like this product. Getting Rudy to eat his food can be challenging so having a tasty topper that isn't essentially doggie junk food is a big plus!
