[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing I noticed was the fresh earthy smell. Secondly it is very easy to use with stepped directions with illustrations. Also, includes on going orchid care with instructions for proper light, watering and re-potting. Could go a bit further to discuss care of orchid such as not pruning flower stem. I find a conflict of information since it says on the front feeds up to 6 months, and then on the back says that you should start feeding one month after repotting orchid. So I am not sure if the fertilizing is good for 6 months and then start fertilizing once a month after that. Written directions in some locations is a little hard to read because of lack of letter contrast color to background color. Overall far superior to other orchid mixes.

Unfortunately I did not read the reviews on this web site before the Miracle-Gro® Orchid Potting Mix. I bought Miracle-Gro® Orchid Potting Mix several months ago to repot my orchids. I recently repotted them and had a major infestation of little black flying bugs. I did think it was something wrong with my house, but when I open the bag to replant another orchid, I realized that tons of little black flying bugs were inside the bag. I then took the Miracle-Gro® Orchid Potting Mix outside and realized that it was full of little eggs.
