Great product for an old-fashioned cherry pie

I wanted to make an old-fashioned cherry pie, using canned pitted cherries in juice. I was surprised at how difficult it was to find since most of our stores, including Wegmans, only carried cherries in water and not in juice. I was surprised to learn on my Internet search That Walmart had it (Oregon brand)and could deliver that very day within a few hours. It took two cans of cherries with a half a cup of juice, and it turned out as wonderful as I remembered it from my childhood. I plan to make many more this summer using the Oregon brand, cherries in 100% juice.

Made the best ever cherry pie!

I used these 3 cans of these drained cherries in addition to 2 drained pie cherry filling for an amazing cherry pie- best ever! All my guests agreed! The pie isn't as sweet as if I used pie filling alone- but has such a great taste! I just ordered 6 more cans for Christmas serving.

These OREGON Brand canned dark sweet cherries in 100% juice are the best. Great taste and texture. I made myself a mixed fruit cup, and...these cherries were the star. Nice, also, on top of vanilla pudding (just drain well). Purchased before and will purchase again. I recommend. PS: save the juice for your lemonades, teas, cocktails. Just saying 🙂
