This sharpener has all the adjustments required to sharpen any chain. Once you understand how it works it is quick to set up. And you can sharpen any chain in no time. And there are plenty of videos online to get you up and running like a pro. There are less expensive Oregon models if you are only going to use 1 or 2 times a year. But if you sharpen alot of chains, your going to love this model.

Better than new

New, out of the box, the chain I use was able to clear a day and a half of old, dead, Russian Olive trees before it went dull. After the first use of the Oregon Chain Sharpener, I was able to eat up the same dead trees, but at a rate of three days per sharpening. The sharpener is amazing, and so easy to use. With little training/instruction, other than what came with the sharpener, I was able to efficiently sharpen my chains and get right back to cutting timber.
