Optimus 1,500-Watt-Max Portable Fan Heater with Thermostat, H-1322

Finally caved and got this heater for under my desk and man does it heat the place up! FAST! I am not sure if its supposed to be a little noisy or somewhat loud but then again I am not in a high traffic area. For the price and the heat that this kicks out I would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a quick dash of heat here and there or consistently throughout their workday.

I bought two of these little guys at around fifteen dollars each. They heat two small bedrooms about 10 feet by 10 feet. I keep them lower than they could run, so I am confident this little thing could heat up to a thirteen by thirteen foot room on the highest settings. When I first got them I was a little frustrated with the auto safety feature, but now I appreciate it. In order for this heater to stay on, it has to be sitting on perfectly flat ground because there is a button that depresses when it's sitting that essentially gives it power. If it is bumped or pushed over it stops working right away because the button isn't depressed. So for my children, this is great. It had a strange odor at first, but now that is gone after a few uses. It is no louder than a small fan and can also run as just a fan with no heat which will be nice in the warmer months. Excellent value and would definitely recommend this.
