First of all, this thing is incredibly quiet. Even on the highest speed, all I can hear is air moving. For all practical purposes this fan is SILENT. Second, it was really easy to install. The Assembly instructions indicate that they are for reference only and some parts may be assembled already. And they were. If you've ever changed a light bulb in a ceiling light fixture you can put up this fan. There wasn't anything difficult or confusing to me about assembly or installation . It only weighs about 8.5 lbs according to the shipping weight. Taking the old one down was far worse. Take my word for it. My ceiling required the wood screws(Pro tip - make sure to use the included washers so the screws don't pop through the mounting plate! Learn from MY mistakes!) Your ceiling materials and installation experience will vary, so be sure to use the appropriate mounting hardware for your ceiling material. They provided all the hardware - way more than what you will need (pictured). They even provided an S-hook to hang the fan for easy wiring. And one white glove to wear while you're wiring it up, presumably to reduce risk of electric shock but it could be just the company's love of Michael Jackson. Who knows? The fan moves plenty of air even on low speed, so if you like a fan that just barely moves any air you might want to look for something different. There was a setting on the remote called "nature wind". BONUS FEATURE! It wasn't mentioned in the product description that I recall, but I found to be quite practical. It simply varies the speed of the fan during operation. Love it. The light is plenty bright with three color modes, the medium setting is brightest because it combines the two other colors on the LED lighting disc. The remote works great, two AAA batteries not included. Mine connected right after I put batteries in everything worked perfect. They offer optional app control, one old and one new, but I did not find them useful. Neither of the apps were officially in the app store, they required an override to download them to my phone which made me feel uneasy and vulnerable. Only one app seemed to work. It was buggy and slow, soI deleted them right away. I suppose if you want to control your fan from somewhere outside of your house, the app would be useful. but the remote is plenty good enough. just don't lose it lol.espite the apps poorly working with the fan. The only reason I gave it four out of five stars for quality is because it's just slightly lower quality than some fans on the market. Everything else is great and I absolutely love it. I'm thinking about getting a couple more and replacing all the other five ceiling fans in the house and I'll likely purchase from this seller/brand again.

This fan was the easiest to put up. Perfect for the landing at the top of the stairs that is a small area with a slanted ceiling. The fact that the blades attach right to the fan no extra brackets, makes it look nice. Light can be changed to different setting and a timer can be used for the fan.
