The battery can be monitored with your phone by downloading the application. Be sure to setup the Eco mode and timers because mine kept shutting down after a few minutes until I figured that out! I set all the timers to max and to not shut down works for me. In an emergency it will run the large refrigerator/freezer for about 18 hours and make a pot of coffee. I charge it with a couple of 100 watt solar panels in about 6 or 7 hours. Get one, I think you will like it!

Quality power station from an established brand
This is my first power station, and I chose the Exodus 1500 due to its large battery capacity and good reviews. I use it to power 2 laptops, a 32" monitor, 2 cell phone chargers and 2 battery chargers for household items. It's lightweight and looks and feels like a high quality product. I'm using it both as a nightly backup power source and UPS, and it's been great so far at both. This is a 5-star product with a few things worth mentioning: the fan cycles on and off frequently, but it's quiet. The built-in MPPT solar charger only operates at up to 26 volts so you're limited to using 12v solar panels. And there's no easy way to expand the backup capacity of this unit, so you're better off starting with something like an OUPES MEGA 1 if you think you'll need more than the 1.5 kWh this station provides. For me, it's been perfect.
