  • Step 1: Prepare the nail by using an orangewood stick to push the cuticles back for a clean application of the gel
  • Step 2: Shape your nails to your style with a natural nail filer (150 grit or higher)
  • Step 3: Prepare the natural nail by gently removing the shine using a buffer. Lightly buff it to rough up the nail beds
  • Step 4: Remove the oils and dust on your nails by using a nail cleanser
  • Step 5: (Roll the color bottle in your hands to mix the contents) Apply a thin even layer of gel color base coat onto your nail
  • Step 6: Place your hand in an LED lamp and cure for 10 seconds or a UV lamp and cure for 1 minute. The top coat will remain tacky/sticky, but this is normal for any soak-off gel polish
  • Step 7: (Roll the gel color bottle in your hands to mix the contents) Apply a thin even layer of gel color coat to your nail. Make sure you remove any color from the skin prior to curing
  • Step 8: Place your hand in an LED lamp and cure for 20 seconds or a UV lamp and cure for 2 minutes
  • Step 9: Apply a second coat of gelcolor color to the nail
  • Step 10: Apply a thin even layer of gelcolor top coat onto your nail. The top coat creates a high shine while protecting the gel layers below it from damage. Don't forget to cap the nail edges to create a seal
  • Step 11: Use a liberal amount of alcohol (99%) or gel cleanser with a lint-free pad to remove the tacky/sticky residue from your nail

Let's Get Nude!

I got my nails done this color by my favorite nail tech. This color is great for brown skin because of the color contrast. I think you can wear this color all year round but it's ideal for Fall and Winter. This color does come in the regular polish formula as well but I only use gels. This shade is a must try! I love the hints of brown in this color.

Gorgeous

I don't get why people say it turns yellow. You can see on my nails which I have had over two weeks aknce they need to be filled, and it's still a beautiful shade of beige with a hint of pink/lavender. Very classy but totally great even on the days I'm wearing sweats!

Love it

Got this done at a salon! I love it! I am African American, my skin tone is very dark chocolate color and it is beige on me. The picture I've attached is 2 days after I got them done; my friend just got her nail license and loves to experiment on me so they are not perfect but only 1 coat of opi clear gel, 2 coats of color, then another coat of clear. My new fave!
