I never installed the mount. It was the wrong size, it didn't match up to the wall studs. Just to make you aware, this is quite a heavy item. Appears to be high quality. I learned to measure the distance between studs BEFORE ordering the mount. Walmart was wonderful. They made the return quick and easy.

I bolted this onto the studs with the provided screws. It holds a 65 lb Samsung 65" tv with no problem. Bf I put the TV on I had my wife hang onto the mount and do a pullup. She weights 125 lbs. It didn't budge. I was extremely concerned that I had gambled on this purchase. I did and won. If there is one issue it'd be that a 65" tv won't swing out all the way bc of the length of the TV is longer than the arm on the mount. Buy this and rest easy.
