LG 83" C5 Series OLED evo AI 4K Smart 25 TV, OLED83C5PUA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading strong early impressions, I decided to invest in the new LG C5 OLED and it absolutely delivers. The picture quality is outstanding: deep, true blacks, vibrant yet natural colours, and razor-sharp detail. Even average content looks elevated thanks to the excellent processing. This is a big upgrade from our previous 65” LG OLED, and the jump in quality is much more noticeable than expected. The C5 isn't just a refresh it feels like a whole new tier. In fact, it's so impressive that I now wish I'd gone for the 83” version. I hesitated at the time, unsure how it would look sitting wider than our TV console, but with how immersive the display is, I'd gladly take the extra screen size now. Design-wise, it's also a standout. The profile is extremely sleek and minimal, and even the rear panel looks premium, with a black marble-style finish that feels a cut above the usual plain plastic backs most TVs have. A couple of practical notes: • Reflections: The screen is more reflective than expected. If you have lots of natural or overhead light, be mindful of placement. Once you get the positioning right, though, the image quality really shines. • Sound: Audio quality is decent given the ultra-slim chassis, realistically there's only so much you can get from such a compact enclosure. If you're spending this much on a TV, a soundbar should probably be a given. I have it connected to a 7.2 home theatre system, so audio isn't a concern in my setup. All up, the LG C5 OLED is one of the most impressive tech upgrades I've made. If you're considering one, just go for the bigger size, you'll thank yourself later.
