It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Read and follow all directions and precautions on this product label. Hold container 6 to 8 inches from skin and spray with a slow sweeping motion. Do not apply over cuts, wounds, irritated or sunburned skin. Do not spray in enclosed areas. Use just enough repellent to cover exposed skin. Do not use under clothing. Avoid over-application of this product. For continued insect protection, reapply as effectiveness diminishes, but not to exceed 2 applications per day. Frequent reapplication and saturation are unnecessary. Apply sparingly around ears. When using on children, apply to your own hands and then put it on the child. Do not apply to children's hands. Do not allow children to handle this product. After returning indoors, wash treated skin with soap and water. FOR MAXIMUM PROTECTION, spread evenly with hands to moisten all exposed skin. TO APPLY TO faced: Spray palm of hand first and then apply sparingly and avoid eyes. Do not spray directly onto faced. Do not apply near eyes and mouth.

Wanted to try something without deet. It smells different than the regular sprays so that throws you off when you first use it. The mist seems to be a little denser so the disbursement isn't as wide. As far as protection, it offers the same amount of protection as the regular one. This comes down to preference of ingredients of the product.

These bugs really thought they lived here!
Found a bite on my arm, so I went upstairs to round up the usual suspects — ants, flies, and a couple of crickets who treat my attic like it comes with a lease. I used this OFF! Clean Feel Picaridin spray on me before going up there, and suddenly everyone stopped “visiting.” Light scent, no greasy feel, and the bugs finally got the hint that they don't pay rent.

I tested this during an evening outdoor event in Minnesota. I am very prone to bug bites. I was wearing a dress and long sleeve sweater, so I only sprayed my legs. I got 2 bug bites on my legs, compared to 15 on the parts of my body I didn't spray (arms, stomach, and back) that were covered by clothing. For comparison, a week earlier, I had no bug spray on my legs and was outside for a shorter time and got 8 bug bites on the legs alone. I'd definitely use this again! Although the directions say not to use under clothes, I probably will in the future.
