Nutritional Yeast Powder. Vegetarian, Vegan, Kosher, Vitamin B Fortified Nutritional Yeast Powder. Nutritional yeast is a deactivated yeast which is commonly used in many vegan recipes (cheese substitute primarily) and as a flavoring (often sprinkled on popcorn). It is a source of protein and vitamins, especially the B-complex vitamins, and is a complete protein. It is also naturally low in fat and sodium and is free of sugar, dairy, and gluten. Our Nutritional Yeast is fortified with Niacin (B3), Pyridoxine hydrochloride (B6), Riboflavin (B2), Thiamine hydrochloride (B1), Folate (B9) and Cyanocobalamin (B12). Nutritional yeast has a strong flavor that could be described as nutty, cheesy, or creamy, which makes it popular as an ingredient in cheese substitutes.
