Good alternative to acidic chemicals

I've only cleaned one machine thus far. And we're talking window units here. I've gotten pretty good at tearing these things down completely. It's the only way to truly clean them. The machine in question was sitting for quite a while. So, a lot of the debris that was on it had already dried. So it was easy to take it off of the fins in the coil with a wire brush. Then I sprayed it down with the cleaner. Mixed at 33/66 cleaner to water ratio, it did foam a bit. But not a whole lot. None the less, in the end, I wound up with clean coils as desired. I think I'll keep it !
