During a recent power outage, I dropped and broke my old lantern (which wasn't nearly as good or bright as this one). This lantern is an exceptional replacement--better than I could have imagined. It produces lots of light in a relatively compact size. It is easy to use, comes with a great light bulb that goes from a dim light to a very bright one. It only requires two DD batteries. I like it so much I'm going to but another one. Also, it comes in many different colors.
