Pan size is 17"x12"x2"

This pan measures 17" by 12" by 2", which is basically twice as large as a typical 9" by 12" pan. It's a nice size for sheet cakes, and about as big as a pan can get and still allow a little bit of room in my oven for heat to circulate. The aluminum is slightly thicker than your average pan, which makes it a little bit more sturdy.

High quality

I love NordicWare cookware! I am slowly but surely weeding out all of my other cookie sheets and cake pans. Soon I will have every piece they have to offer! High quality at a reasonable price!

If you transport/keep prepared food, you'll love!!

Am buying a 2nd for a gift after owning multiples for decades myself. Packing dozens of cookies for PTA night? Roasting a load of veggies to keep in the fridge for a week's meals? Cooking a huge birthday cake to take to a party? Serving gooey nachos for sports night? Taking tons of premade sandwiches to a picnic? Check. I've done all this and more with these pans. The lids (NOT for oven use, and not tight enough to stay secure if you tip over the pan) help you store on counter or in fridge the massive amount of food you can fit inside. The pan is essentially a cake or casserole pan that's sheet pan size (i.e. double the size of a basic 9x13 pan!). Lids let you stack filled trays on top of each other or slide in fridge under other perishables to save space. Cook in the pan; cool; then top with lid -- or just use to hold food you didn't even cook but need to transport or serve. The lid fits all Nordic Ware basic half-sheet pans, too -- can mix and match. For smaller amounts, go for the quarter-size half sheet pans, cake/lasagna pans and lids -- same idea. And those smaller ones stack perfectly inside a 24-qt rolling cooler, to take and serve elegant tea sandwiches to the theater for donors for intermission (I have!). Hard to believe how much use you'll get out of this. NOTE: ALUMINUM, so strongly advise using parchment sheets on bottom when cooking/storing (and even lining sides if you'll store food inside for a while), though my family used these without liners for decades before this alert was raised. Still use these happily today. Great maker, great design, sturdy/functional, and almost as low a price as I paid more than 5 years ago -- what more could we ask for? :)
