Aesthetics isn't really important, since I bought them to wear at home, The shoes are made of sturdy canvas that should wear well. Good thick soles. they are very nice sneakers, quality and also great for DIY options such as tye die; however, don't expect to wear them day one they are too tight to fit your foot in almost like you need to stuff them for a few days first which is why they're STILL sitting in the bag. I will wear them eventually once I stretch them out (and I did order the right size infact I sized up there is just no stretch(

Yes, the wide width really is wide!

I tried this style shoe in some other brands and none were actually wide. These cheaper ones from Walmart actually have a wide toe box. It isn't just more fabric on the shoe….the sole is also wide. This seems to be rare with wide fit shoes. My feet are wide at the forefoot, but not at the heal, so these are looser on my heal than I'd like. They appear well made. I wear them with socks and there was no need for breaking them in….comfy from day 1.
