Wii Sports Club (Nintendo Wii U)

There is not much to say about this game, especially if you have played Wii Sports on the original Wii (who hasn't?). The gameplay is very similar, graphics are now in HD so that is obviously a big difference since most people now have HD televisions. It is still a lot of fun and you can now play online with strangers or with friends. This is the same software that has been available on eShop for a while, there is no need to purchase this if you have already downloaded it, but if you don't, this is cheaper than buying games individually or renting them for a long period. Golf is much closer to reality with the game pad as you actually have to aim (arrow on screen) and give the club the right angle. Golf is the most drastic change from the original Wii game. So here is why I removed two stars: A few of the games, if not all, require Wii Remotes Plus controllers (or Wii remotes and the Motion Plus attachment) so your old Wii remotes may not work. Also, for the full experience you need two remotes per player for the boxing game, there is no nunchuck compatibility it seems. At $42 a piece, new remotes are expensive especially for a system that was marketed as being able to use your old Wii remotes. For Bowling, at least, you can use one remote for multiple players, a bit annoying but at least they gave us the option. I removed one star because sometimes the remote's position does not reflect the actual position on the screen, which ruins your hits (baseball and tennis). I give 3/5 but I would still recommend this for anyone who enjoyed the original Wii Sports; it's fun and not too expensive.
