This motor is almost and exact replacement for a Monarch 08053 motor installed on a 2001 HWH jack system in my motorhome. The only exception was in the old motor, the ground lug was internally connected to the frame of the motor. This motor brings both the and - connection to lugs on the end of the motor so I had to manufacture a ground connection. To accomplish this I purchased a small 14 inch battery cable from the local parts store and connected it from the - lead on the motor to a convent bolt on the pump frame.( See Picture) Otherwise, it is an exact fit and works perfectly. The installation was easy. Remove the shipping nuts on the two screws shown in the picture. Carefully hold the entire assembly together and insert the screws into the pump frame. Tighten the screws. The motor is a press fit, so after you tighten the screws apply power to the motor it will likely shift in the mount slightly. Tighten the screws again and it should be properly aligned.
