Very good router/firewall for small ethernet
The Netgear FVS318G works with 10 bps half-duplex, 100 bps full-duplex, or 1000 bps full-duplex. It automatically detects the connection bandwidth and adjusts itself accordingly. It has 32gb of memory. It may, briefly, choose a lower bandwidth than your connection until it realizes that a higher bandwidth is available. It happened to me during setup, but everything is fine now. I don't have fiber/fios yet, but will soon. Every other Netgear appliance I've used has worked as advertised, so I'm sure this one will also.

I used $1 shipping and it was delivered in just a day or two! Had no trouble replacing a Netgear Wi-Fi router with this one. I followed the quickstart guide and everything worked again the first time I powered up the new router with 8 ports instead of 4. Now I can hardwire my laptop at 100 MHz and still have 3 ports available. I'll admit I was surprised that Walmart had the best price and delivery on this router.
