This is amazing for caramel apples! Warm it up slightly in the microwave (NOT in the can) and pour over or dip apple slices. Mmm! You could pour over an apple on a stick and chill to firm. I use granny smiths for the tart/sweet balance. I found this looking for a caramel I could have with grain intolerance. Love it.

I found this dulce de leche on my last trip to Walmart and got several cans. This is an excellent product, the quality is unsurpassed and so is the price. For the history buffs: This spread was invented in Spain centuries ago and they made it by hand stirring sugar, milk, vanilla, etc. and they had to cook it for hours, stirring non stop.
