I've had one of these for about 5 years now. This one was a replacement for my last one. I drink a ton of coffee and I only roast my own. The last one wouldn't roast anymore. I'm assuming due to a tar build up on the heating element. It just wouldn't get hot anymore. It's one of the easiest roasters. I always make notes for all the different kinds of coffee beans. Color, taste and so on. Considering what we pay for a cup out now days and how much beer a cup at home tastes. This is definitely the way to go. Also, stop the French press and pour over coffees. Nothing beats the Turkish style of brewing coffee. Same grams of coffee and ounces of water side by side: French press verse Turkish. Turkish will win every time.

Roasts perfect beans. It's not a set it and forget it type of unit but if you like fresh roasted coffee then you have 20 min to watch it and roast to your liking.

"Chaffy"
The Nesco coffee roaster is the only home roaster I could find. I bought a used one before this one and really liked it. So I bought this one new. Doesn't collect coffee chaff as well as other one, I don't know why because they're an identical model.
