I bought these specifically for the smaller birds like finches, wrens and sparrows. To make them even easier to eat I crush them into little pieces. The larger birds and squirrels are content with the whole unshelled peanuts. I received an older bag type not the one being displayed but confirmed with the company that it was new stock as the change over to the new packing had just started. Overall the neighborhood critters give it an A thumbs up... :-)

Will buy again. It is important to remember that salted nuts and other food that is processed are very harmful to wildlife, even bread. Salt can harm their kidneys and more. They may eat bread and other things but they get bloated and sick. And once you begin to feed birds, they count on this in the winter, so please sacrifice a bit for them or leave them be.
