DAP Kwik Seal Ultra Premium Silicone Kitchen and Bath Caulk Sealant, 5.5 oz White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a 55 yr old female who has never caulked anything. I remember years ago seeing my father use a caulking gun. I don't know if I'd be able to use a caulking gun. Luckily I used a squeeze tube of KWIK SEAL ULTRA Premium Siliconized Sealant. The caulking along the top edge of my sink has been there about 30 years I guess. The man that put the sink in did the caulking. I don't know what brand he used. It had some places where caulking was missed, etc. I've always considered it an eyesore. I first scraped the old caulking off using a putty knife. I then took a wet rag to get any loose caulking and to get the area clean. I then took a dry rag and dried the area. I took cap off KWIK SEAL tube. I didn't have a utility knife like recommended. Instead I used a pocket knife to cut the end at 45 degree angle. I tried cutting as little as possible since I didn't want a huge amount coming out. It's suggested to smooth and round the cut tip slightly with 100-grit sandpaper. I didn't have the sandpaper. My cut looked smooth though. I placed the nozzle against the sink along wall at one end. I squeezed the tube and as the caulking came out I slowly at even pace moved the tube along the top of the sink down to the opposite side. It only took one application to fill in the area. It was easy to do. My brother came by today and I showed him. He was surprised I got the old caulking off. I told him I had no trouble getting the old off. He agreed it looks much better now. I am proud I was able to do this. It wasn't a big job but it is something that will be noticed by everyone washing their hands at my sink. I will definitely use this brand again and recommend it. It sealed great , went on easy , and didn't have a smell whatsoever. It dried very quickly and turned clear within 12 hours.
