I'm hypoglycemic. Sometimes, I start to feel sick and I know what I need to do, eat a protein bar. I keep these by my bedside and carry a couple in my purse. The nuts provide the protein I need, they actually get into my system fast and within just a few minutes I'm feeling better. The chocolate doesn't hurt a bit by adding that sweet and savory taste I crave.

I have tried a lot of protein bars, and these are my favorite. You can get the slightly smaller size bar (24 per box instead of 10 or 12) and they are the perfect snack size. The protein helps me feel full longer and the flavor is definitely that delicious combination of nuts and dark chocolate. This would be delicious chopped up and put over yogurt or ice cream as a dessert. The almonds clusters are crunchy and full of flavor, but not overwhelming. Some protein bars just taste like a big handful of dry nuts, but these are a much better consistency and easier to chew. I usually have this as an afternoon snack if I am getting hungry but want to have the energy and self control to make a healthy dinner. I also keep one on hand as a late night snack to keep me away from ice cream or chips.
