A RPG Masterpiece

Eternal Sonata is full of magical characters, creatures, music, and surroundings, all beautifully crafted together into an Xbox 360 Japanese style role playing game masterpiece! In most games, you find that the ability to use magic is highly sought after and that you spend a lot of time trying to improve your magic to become the most powerful. In Eternal Sonata, however, the role is almost completely reversed. Instead of being a sought after skill, magic is dreaded. The reason being that those who use magic are actually terminally ill. So having the use of magic is a sure sign that you don't know have a very long life in front of you. And the characters of Eternal Sonata, aside from a certain few, would rather avoid you like the plague for fear of catching it. That being said, you still rely on magic from your “sick” characters to progress through the game. They know what fate lies ahead of them, but they are still willing to help out their friends in need! Eternal Sonata follows the dream of Frederick Francois Chopin as he lies ill on his death bed. This gives him the power to use magic in his dream as well. The characters you meet all take on musical terms, whether it be Beat or Viola, Allegretto or Salsa, or March and Tuba, you are sure to find yourself guessing what other names they come up with! If you are interested in a game that is completely unique and original, this is the one for you!

A good RPG.

I may be a little biased because rpgs are my favorite types of games, but I have enjoyed this game. I have been playing for a couple weeks now and it has not let me down. The story of a game is important to me and this one has a good story, and as most games, gets better as it goes on. The fighting system of the game is good, not the best ever, but it's better than the average turn-based game. You can actually move around, and you can use different attacks based on whether you are in the light or dark part of the field.
