We went from a strider bike to this bike, hoping that he would not need the training wheels. The bike is simply too heavy to skip the training wheels. Birthday present for our 4 year old. He loves it. The reason for 3 stars is it was very difficult to put together. Took my husband about an hour and half. He said the directions were hard to follow and he had to watch a YouTube video to make sure he had all the parts placed together right. Love the color and the size is perfect for our son. He loves the bell. The handle on the seat also helps tremendously since this is his first bike
