Hurst 3734734 Manual Transmission Shifter Lever Kit

Purchased this kit, with help from a Jegs Tech, for a 60 BW T10. Immediately noticed the directions had been abbreviated from the old version I already had from another kit. Use to provide part numbers to coincide the the numbers stamped on the parts so you could tell which piece to use where. Too expensive, I guess, so this has been eliminated.Started with the "reverse" arm which needed lots (+- 3/8") more offset to properly align with the shifter and trany shift fork arm. These rods are "hardened" so bending them IS NOT easy. Also, the threads needed to be run with a dye. It's the little rod in the picture. By the time there is enough offset, the rod is very nearly too short with only half the thread into the pin. Found a rod from a old kit that was 1" longer. After increasing the offset on that one, although not perfect, it worked. Hurst used to be a quality company. Now owned by B and M Racing Products, it appears to have suffered the same fate as most other modern corporations. "Make every last penny". Even including eliminating some printing on the instructions. Would I recommend it?? Is there another choice?? Yes, with notes!! Just "be aware".
