LG 34" Class UltraWide FHD HDR FreeSync Monitor with USB Type C - 34WP65G-B

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Monitor was well packaged. The only thing to do is attaching the stand after unboxing. Just snap it on the back of the monitor and hand screw in the stand. Couldn't be easier. Esthetically, this monitor is one of the most attractive and modern looking monitors out there on the market. Design and functionality is very nice and intuitive. The red accent on the monitor stand is very cool. Adjusting the height is so easy and effortless just by lifting the monitor up and pushing down. It did not feel heavy at all. It can also be tilted to adjust the viewing angle. I like the fact that the monitor screen is matte instead of glossy which is great in reducing glare. I have it sit next to the window and had no issues with the glare at all. All the inputs are in the back of the monitor including the headphone jack which I found a bit awkward and a bit inconvenient since I had to turn the monitor to find the jack every time I switch headphone. Having it built to the side of the monitor would have been better in my opinion. However, you can use this port for external speakers via 3.5mm cable which I did. All adjustments are made via a single button underneath the logo which can take some getting used to at first but very intuitive. I had a two-monitor setup before using this LG monitor and at first I thought I would lose a lot of screen real estate but it wasn't the case. All the screen is within my peripheral vision so I didn't feel like I had to constantly turn my head to look from one side to the other. I am using this monitor primarily for work and it is a pleasure to look at excel spreadsheet. I can see many columns at once and having to scroll less. I can open multiple excel files and leave them open on one side of the monitor and look at email on the other. The ability to view and work on multiple files is liberating. I feel more productive. Picture quality is great for its size given it is not even a 4k monitor. Color and contrast (out of the box) are vibrant. Fonts are smooth and easily read. No jagged edge around letters. Surfing the internet and watching movies is a joy. After using it for a week, I prefer it over a two-monitor setup I had. One thing I wished it had is a built-in webcam. Webcam is almost indispensable nowadays due to work from home. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently, I got the opportunity to test out the LG 29” UltraWide FHD HDR FreeSync Monitor with USB Type C. First off, I didn't know how much a better monitor experience could give and I got to say this blew my expectations away. It was much bigger than I expected and now it's harder for me to use a smaller screen with this one spanning 29 inches. My current monitor is at 15 inches and yet this one feels like it's three times the size. Even having two screens side by side doesn't compare. The full setup took less than 10 minutes before having it connected and exploring the features. So far I've thrown gaming, window multitasking, videos/movies, and 3D CAD design. Each one performed great and using the full real estate of the screen improved each area. For example, I found myself more immersed in my gaming/video experience than before. Also, I love simplistic/modern design with near edge to edge screen and subtle red accent color on the base. Now if only I can work solely from home on my new and vastly improved setup.
