It's designed for water based . Change it to use in either water OR mineral spirits types and wood be near perfect, especially for road wrenching . Water based soaks fair but needs higher psi spray rinse . Imagine 2 buckets; one seal top with good cleaner & one to put system in , travel , assemble, use , pack for next stop or garage storage. Working on cars or machine in driveway; perfect style, but needs chem- based cleaner for pump to be useful ,meaning , pump needs 2 changes ; less volume ( this pump slings too much ) and better seals for REAL Parts cleaner . The design itself is excellent. I will be using larger system design in 55gal heated barrel of 15gal oil eater, and this very hyperactive pump washing down . The bucket system base cage is excellent keeping sediment separated . Much to like , 2 small changes would make this adaptable and much more useful
