King Coated SI-Series Main Bearings for LS/LT Engines MB5293MC Fits 1997-2024 Gen 3/4/5 LS and LT Based Engines with Stock Crankshafts 4.8L 5.3L 5.7L 6.0L 6.2L Set of Standard Size Main Bearings with Polymer Coating King's Si-Series Main bearings are ideal for stock replacement and mild performance applications utilizing a factory crankshaft. Not for use with aftermarket crankshafts (see HP or XP series bearings for aftermarket crankshafts). These direct replacements have an improved finish for reducing microscopic peaks on nodular cast iron crankshafts. King SI-Series main bearings also feature improved oil clearance to reduce wear and increase engine life—which, in turn, lessens operating noise, vibration, and excess oil flow. The Si Series top layer offers great embeddability to help prevent foreign debris from damaging OEM crankshafts. This "MC" version of the Si bearings has a factory-applied Polymer Coating consisting of solid lubricants and ceramic additives to improve the anti-friction and wear resistance properties of the bearings. This coating is required to provide proper startup protection for newer engines with the auto start/stop feature, and also offers additional protection for standard engines without auto start/stop. Note: King no longer makes these bearings with a locating tab on the thrust bearing or the upper bearings that are installed into the block. This is to allow the same part # to fit more applications. Install the upper bearing shells in the center of the block saddles and they will be properly held in place by the crush force when the main caps are installed.
