Powerful 7.5HP Engine – The DuroMax 225cc OHV engine is a workhorse that provides plenty of power to handle multiple jobs from powering high voltage appliances to heavy duty power tools.
MX2 Technology - Get the maximum power from each of the 120 Volt Receptacle. Choose between operating the generator at both 120V and 240V simultaneously, or at 120 only with full power. Ideal for usage with Rv’s.
Low Oil Shutoff – Protects your investment by automatically shutting the generator off when it senses that the oil is low.

After much research about my power needs to what the generator produces, I chose the DuroMax XP5500E. It was the perfect size for me. It will power everything in my house, but not all at once. That's ok because I don't use everything at once. It is the best size with the best ratings for the price. It's not too noisy, not too big or heavy, and electric start. I recommend this product.

Great generator. Fired right up. Nice feature I wasn't expecting was a gas level indicator. I have other brands I'm not pleased with, one reason is they are much noisier than the DuroMax. The build quality is solid. As the other generators wear out, I'll be replacing them with DuroMax.

Great generator , i use mine for weekly tasks and for emergencies . I was hoping it would power my 2hp pancake compressor and it does just fine while also powering electric tools, sawzall and circular saw. The electric start is a nice feature that is just a bonus because so far it is a great running generator perfect for my uses.
