Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix, PlayStation 4, 662248923192

I love the Final Fantasy franchise, especially the originals such as this game and I cant wait for them to drop part two hopefully by 2022! If your into fighting games, and quest, and in general RPG with sprinkled bits of humor here and there, I HIGHLY suggest giving this game a go especially since it on sale until January 8th I believe?

Ok, I played the original one and was blown away 20 years ago. I was hesitating to buy this because 1) I know the story already. Why play this again? 2) I know this is not the full game. Well, a few months later, I bought this and FF15. Sleepwalk thru FF15 and did not like it. Then, I decide to play this one. I was not disappointed. Graphic : Man, I was blown away by the graphic 20 years ago and I thought no one can come close to give me that feeling again. Nowadays, everyone with money and effort can build gorgeous graphic in general, except human models. Have you seen fallout and mass effect? These are triple A franchises. Now, buy this game and look at all characters modelling. I found myself idling the game just to look at them. They are even better than FF15. This is the A team in squarenix doing modelling. Also, better than FF16 by the looks of it. Story : faithful to the original story with a twist! Better story telling with the improved graphics. Certainly better than FF15. Character development : One thing that makes FF7 stand out from the rest of the FF series is character development. It looks like they put the effort into this one. As such, this story will span multiple games. Battle system : improved yet give me a hint of the original FF7. This is no cake walk. I can tell that they are expecting fans of the original FF7 to play this. Game play : It is quite linear so far. This is true of the original FF7 too. Not until later, things open up. OST : This one is tough for them. Graphics hardware might have improved a lot these 20 years. Audio gap is not as big. As such, with such a top notch masterpiece in the original FF7, how can they top that? I think it is a good adaptation but the original one still pump me up more than anything else. Voice acting/acting : 20 years ago. It was all text and polygons. This time, you can pick stuff up from the voice, the subtle facial expression. Verdict : Being a fan of the original FF7, the 8-15 FF series did not scratch the itch I have of a good game, good story, good OST and good characters. I hate to come back to an old story for that. Have you experienced mourning the end of a game because it was so good? This time, I took my time to play this and hope there will be many parts of this story.
