These straps work well IF you follow some basic tips for setting them up. First, clean the surface where you plan to put these. Let the surface dry completely, then check it for any remaining dust and debris. Clean again, if needed. Then, stick the adhesive to the surface, and move your finger over the entire adhesive to ensure every part of it adheres to the surface underneath. Do not tighten them yet. Let the adhesive cure for 2-3 hours at least (overnight, if you can), then you can tighten the straps. Do not tighten them too much. You don't want them to have any slack, but you also don't want them constantly pulling against the adhesive, which can cause it to come unstuck over time. You see how I have my straps. They look tight, but they are not. The idea is to provide stability in the event that the TV starts to tip over, whether that's by a child, a pet, or an adult knocking into it by mistake. You don't need constant stability since the TV is only under threat of tipping when it's touched. As long as you follow these setup steps, you will have a great experience with these straps! They certainly helped stabilize my TV with my cats jumping on it. They broke my last TV by knocking it over, so I'm glad to have these now.

Perfect for baby proofing. The adhesive stick ons are very strong and no drilling is a plus. Now I won't worry about the tv falling over on my baby and my baby won't break another TV. I stuck them to the back of my tv stand as mine is not a wide stand and I needed the staps tighter. I dont have flat paint on my walls so i didnt want to risk them peeling off, but it works just as well stuck onto the the tv stand. very easy to adjust the straps to size.
