This Bible is really lovely. I purchased this as my first Bible and immediately liked the quality and soft feel of the cover and pages. The Bible lays mostly flat without feeling like the spine will be “broken”. It says that it has “Large Print” and as far as Bibles go I would say that it is larger than most I've seen. I love the app that you have access to! If you allow it you will receive notifications daily to remind you of the reading plan you have chosen to implement. The app is very easy to access! After you purchase the Bible just scan the unobtrusive, “Filament” symbol they have at the top of the first page and follow the prompts. I recently ordered Bible tabs for it and finished placing them last night. I mention this because the pages are strong and did not tear when I tried to reset a tab or two, though one page did get a bit of a bend, but any Bible would probably have that happen. (I wasn't able to peel and re-stick them btw. Haha) The back of the Bible has a, “Life Topics” index which is really great, especially for people like myself new to the Bible, but likely helpful to anyone. An example of the Life Topics: (Not an exhaustive list, just a short example of the topic of: “Assurance”: [God said,] “And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: l will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me. I will find joy doing good for them and will faithfully and wholeheartedly replant them in this land.” (Jeremiah 32:40-41) “For those of us who trust God, the Bible is packed with. Promises of his everlasting love, in times of doubt, we can cling to these promises.” -“God always holds onto His children (Psalm 37:23-24) -“God will not refuse any who come to Him (John 6:37-40) -“Salvation cannot be canceled (Romans 5:1-5) And so on. I definitely recommend this Bible for new Bible readers and as a gift to Christians that read the NLT! The NLT is a somewhat simplified translation, but has footnotes that reference other translations in many places.
