Spa METALfree is a highly effective metal chelating agent that protects against staining and discolouration from trace metals such as iron and copper. Spa METALfree should be used as part of a well designed spa maintenance program. Spa METALfree does not raise phosphate levels in pool water like many other stain and scale products. Spa METALfree Instructions This product is designed for use in properly balanced spa water. Initial Dose: Add 1 capful (4oz) per 400 gallons directly to spa immediately after initial fill and after each drain and refill. Weekly Maintenance Dose: Add 1oz per 400 gallons (one quarter of the large cap) weekly. Note: Do not use with biguanides. Important Spa METALfree is a chelating agent that works by keeping metals in solution so they are unable to stain spa finishes. It does not physically remove the metals from the water and therefore will not affect metal readings on water test.
