Bought to replace an identical vacuum sealer that died after 3 years of moderate use, averaging about 3 times per month. The replacement was required because of operator error. I had some very expensive machines and none lasted more than a year. I've had several models of the food saver brand. One major problem I've had with other brands over time the sealed package leaks.The food/meats form crystals and a few times have had to be thrown away. Never had that problem with this machine. I have T bones sealed with this machine that have been in the freezer nearly 4 months. They remain sealed no leaks. I also use it to souse vide meats and have never had a sealed package leak. Last week I souse vide a 5 lb eye of round for 27 hours and no leaking. Highly recommend this machine.

Great looking and easy too use . Very quite cant even believe it my old machine sounded like a jet engine Very load roar.this seems to be a much better machine . Not cheap looking at all I'm going by a lot of good reviews is the reason I choose this machine and even thou it came tonight I used it twice and it was great all the way around . I'm hoping it will be as great as I think it will be
