Could not play game; code did not work!

I purchased the NBA 2K14 Super Fan Pack (Xbox360) game as a holiday gift for my nephew thinking it contained a CD for playing the game, but in order to play he had to download the game and the code provided did not work or give him access to play the game. After numerous calls with technical support, it was discovered that the code provided was interchanged with another game and it was suggested that the game be returned, which will be done!
