I am highly sensitive to perfumes and this had a very mild scent and I couldn't even smell it after it rinsed out. it does not contain perfume but does have some natural scent. it also left my hair soft with light tinge of purple. my hair is bleached White prior to use. I rated it as high value for the price because I bought it on sale but I think even at regular price it's pretty good because you could probably get 6 to 10 treatments out of the generous 32 oz jar.
