Never thought I would like a diet dew.

I have always been a Mountain Dew drinker. This spring I decided I needed to lose weight. Mountain Dew was one of the main things I cut out. I had tried diet dew before and did not like it. Craving a Dew one day and finding that they make a Zero I decided to try it. There is maybe a little difference. I did blind taste test with my grandson and me and we had a hard time telling which was which. I still don't drink it everyday, but it is nice to have with certain foods.

Zero Sugar Mountain Dew is significantly superior to Diet Mountain Dew, so much so I would say it's unfair to compare the two of them. Zero Sugar Mountain Dew lacks the aftertaste that accompanies other “diet” soft drinks. It's the closest to the authentic Mountain Dew flavor among all the different versions I've tried, and I've tried quite a few!

Tastes great and no HFCS

Given that glass bottled sodas is best, then plastic bottled sodas taste great, but they may have plasticizers, canned sodas come in as a perfectly acceptable compromise. Generally, the canned sodas come in a little less expensive per ounce and so I've been perfectly happy getting these when I can't get the plastic bottles. Warning - they must be in date and shouldn't have been stored in high heat. Otherwise, these taste almost as good as the original recipes, before they changed over to corn syrup.
