this was a very nice addition to my wizard of Oz display it's substantial in weight and looks like the globe will not crack if fallen the lights were bright and attractive if it has sound I did not use that so cannot inform you but I can say you could turn it off if you don't want sound I was playing soundtrack from wizard of Oz so I needed no sound it was a little pricey but well worth it I had bought others that broke and I believe this will last for a very long time it's very good quality it was all plastic the globes heavy plastic I like the gothic type carvings on the bottom of it went perfectly with my scene would definitely recommend
