Fix for Bullying Sparrows
The bird feeder is very well made and performs as stated in the product summary. I purchased to slow down the bullying larger summer sparrows from controlling my feeders and digging through the quality song bird seed I would put out. What I did was to buy some inexpensive 1 inch chicken wire and wrapped around the mid and upper cage openings, leaving access to the bottom 2 levels and lower feeder ports available. I also added an aluminum small diameter rod thru the bottom, below the lower ports for the smaller birds to perch on (the smaller birds like having a place to land and then will enter and feed from lower ports). Very happy with the results, The chickadees, small finches and sparrows have returned and are not being bullied. Also, if a squirrel manages to jump onto the feeder, their only option is to try to shake some seed from the bottom tray. This feeder has proven to be a solid fix for my bullying larger sparrows.

Well built, handsome bird feeder. Tube style with surrounding cage. Keeps the larger birds out and frustrates the squirrels. Holds about 2 lbs of seed. Had one of these for about 15 years, just wore out the hanging bale threads. My favorite feeder.
